These are my first aftermarket wheels im buying so exuse me for being new to this. Ive dropped my wrx 1 inch in the front and.85 in the rear with meagan racing springs. Im looking at 18x9.5 +25 wheels. My concern is the fitment. Most threads recommended 18x9.5 +35 offset minimum. But when i look at fitment industries I’ve seen +22 offset and up.
Do you guys think I will be fine with the offset? I do not want to roll my fenders if I dont have to. Im looking for a poke stance. Thanks guys.

+35 is closer to OEM, so this is correct.

The 9.5" wheels will only add weight and cost and reduce performance. Are you sure that's what you want?

This is the part you probably don't want to hear.

The suspension is designed around a certain offset and contact patch size. Changing that relationship is also asking the suspension to do work differently than intended.

For example -- decreasing the offset means moving the centerline of the contact patch away from the centerline of the strut. This has the effect of increasing the moment arm and translating more energy into the suspension stroke. This effect may seem very small, but when you couple this with millions of suspension strokes over the lifetime of the strut, it effectively reduces the struts' lifetime and performance.

In the front, lower offset also means increasing the scrub radius of the tire (offset of the contact patch centerline and steering axis). Doing so means increased steering effort and reduced steering response.

There are a myriad of other effects too that we won't dive into. Unfortunately, the average "enthusiast" is woefully misinformed about complexity of their car's engineering.

thanks for the advice I actually went with a similar set up. Sparco pro corsa wheels, 18x8 +45 on megan racing springs which is a inch drop in front and 0.8 in the rear. Im pleaseny surprised by how well it fits and is close to being flush with the fenders. No clearance or rubbing issues. Its not the poke I wanted but im happy with it and im still in a “healthy” offset.
