My 2013 WRX did the same thing.
It's a vacuum line.
Check your vacuum hoses.

It's starting to seem like they designed these lines to break loose on purpose with all these similar posts. Odd.

 

It probably was your gas cap. Sometimes the lights can take up to 2 days to turn back off after they are on. A quick diagnostic of the CEL light, before you tried a solution, would have relieved exactly what the ecu was picking up being wrong. Next time, make this your first step and your solution will be worlds easier to find, rather than just blindly looking for an answer to something that could quite literally be ANYTHING wrong with the engine and it's operation. CEL's will tell you EXACTLY what is wrong.

 

the cruise and traction control lights are common when the CEL comes on. Like others have stated, it's probably a pinched or broken line somewhere, or a gas cap.
I had a CEL a few months ago that my OBD scanner didn't pick up, so I took it to Autozone and their scanner was able to read the code. If the CEL comes back, have it scanned somewhere rather than erasing it with the AP.

 

Ok thanks for all the info hopefully it was just the gas cap.. I checked all my vacuum lines and they all seemed to be on tight

 

I had a check engine light come on and the flashing cruise control light came on, I turn my car off, took off my gas cap and then put it back on and the lights go off, think I'm good

i know this is an old thread and you probably wont see this. but any insight to which vacuum. my 13 has done this since the battery got replaced. its only just done 100000kms
