I'm looking at a 2006 WRX with 82k on it. Are there any common/known issues with these? I've done some research and found complaints about trans issues and a few little things. Just looking to be as informed as possible before I even see the car in person.

I've had my 06 for almost 7 years now. Just about 70k. The ONLY issue I've had is my button to roll the window up and down stopped working

Aside from that I've just been doing regular maintenance. The car has never left me stranded. Has never given me any issues

I've had my 06 for 7+ years and 101,000 miles.

At 82k the clutch is most likely done. When you push in the clutch pedal it feel will super stiff and almost like you are crushing a carboard box with every push. Its $1500 at the dealer.

Other than that, no terrible issues to speak of.

At 82k the stock struts are highly likely to be toast. They may not leak, but they are past their life cycle.

There's a sort of common problem with an emissions system called the secondary air pump... It pumps air through the exhaust on a cold start to warm up the cats for 45 seconds... The have a problem with water getting caught in the valves and the Subaru dealer charges $1200 to replace it... You can remove it from the car and put blocking plates on the heads... If you do this you have to delete the dtc codes off the computer... It's pretty common but not that bad...

You guys are awesome thanks for the solid replies.

I called the dealership and asked some basic questions, I'll likely be going to see the car tomorrow. Trying not to get too excited so I can keep a level head!
