I would truly appreciate some help. I took my car to O'Reilly and had them tell me the code from my CEL. They said it was the Camshaft Postition Sensor that was probably the issue. I bought the part and a Chilton book from O'Reilly. I have no mechanic skills background, but I successfully changed out the Sensor. It was on the passenger side. I'll try to get pictures later when I get back home. It seemed like a success. I drove it back to O'Reilly and had them reset the code. I drove it all day Saturday night and Sunday, and nothing til...it came back on this morning on the way to work. My traction control light and CEL come on, and my cruise control shuts off and the light starts blinking...this is what went wrong Wednesday.
1) Does anyone know how many Camshaft Position Sensors my 08 turbo non-Sti model has?
2) If I'm looking at the engine bay my left (passenger) v my right (driver) which is bank 1 v bank 2?
3) If there's another thread that covers this please let me know. I looked and couldn't find one to match my search. 08 WRX/turbo non-Sti.
Thank you for your help in advance. I'm trying to learn all this and do it myself because I feel that I'm 35 and raising 4 sons. This is also investing into their futures.

Ok...bear with me. This is what I've found. Like I stated previously, I had a CEL which resulted in me changing out a $32 part. It didn't work. Long story short, my friend Sims helped me out by scouring the web to find that the CEL was not necessarily correct. I bought my Subaru back in December and saw that I had 3k+ til I had to change my oil, cool. Didn't think anything of it. The code was being thrown because of low oil, dirty (opaque) oil and/or poor viscosity of the oil. Sigh. Thusly, after my oil change and clearing the code again (@O'Reilly, thanks!) I have driven the 37 min commute to work Tuesday morning, home and back to work today and conclude that's what it was...see, I didn't check the date of which the oil should be changed. Turns out, it was supposed to be changed 10/14/21. I hope this helps someone.

First Day in the Club and came across your post. I did a bunch of research on these beasts before buying my first one last week, and one thing they are known for is the Oil pickup getting clogged or starting to clog and starving the engine of oil. This is one of the cross codes I came across being common with an early warning sign that the pipe is clogging. If i remember right Killer B makes a great replacement that a lot of the communities seem to like. I'm not saying this is correlated to your problem but it might not be a bad idea to take a look. Especially with it being one of the more simple repairs on these cars. I mean just dropping the pan seems way to easy.

This is the Pipe i was talking about. .

I’m having a P0011 code pop up with a P0172 System too rich code also, you think that might be a issue with the clogged oil pickup? I just bought both Camshaft position sensors but these codes just randomly started and I have no sound in the engine. I started to randomly have my car going through fuel majorly, car felt like it was wanting to quit on me while driving and even had all my numbers on the Accessport stay the same
