What are the VB WRX acceptable wheel dimensions?

In general, I've not found a definitive resource about what wheel dimensions will fit. Does anyone know of any resources for this?

In my particular case, I'm wondering if 17x7 steel wheels will fit my '23 Limited. I'm concerned about the wheel offset of 42mm. From everything I'm able to find, the stock wheels have a 55mm offset? This is a fairly significant difference; will this damage my car in any way? I'm okay with a slight hit to performance/feel, as long as I'm not damaging my suspension or anything else. Is there anything else to cause concern about using these wheels on my Limited?

Thank you!

17x7 wheels are narrower than the stock wheels and therefore the centerline will want MORE offset rather than less. No, +42mm will not "hurt" your car, but wheels with at least +48mm would be recommended (assuming they clear your brakes).

consult your vehicle's manufacturer specifications and online resources for wheel fitment guidance. While the difference from the stock 55mm offset may affect handling and suspension, it's crucial to consult with a professional mechanic or wheel specialist for compatibility and potential adjustments to ensure safety and performance are not compromised when using different wheels. Modifying wheel offset can impact your car's handling, and it's important to make informed decisions to avoid potential issues.

edit: i linked where i'm ordering for my subaru, hope it helps others too!
