I just had clutch and flywheel changed by a trusted mechanic. The clutch was oem and the flywheel was a lighter one w/throwout bearing and all crap needed to change it supplied with it. My mechanic said everything went together well and it drove fine (it does). Well I noticed that in all gears when i downshift or let off gas while its in gear i get a loud rattle. I brought it back to him and he had it all day and said he chased the noise all day and couldn't find it, but assured me there was nothing internal wrong. He said I would just have to ignore it. Soooo my question is, does anyone have any clue what this noise could be and would it be rude to bring it back and demand that it be found and fixed before giving my car back to me??? Ive known this guy for about 14 years and he does all the work for me and my family and I've never had a problem with his work so what should I do?? And if things dont go my way is there any legal way of dealing with this?? Im in FL
