So I was coming home from work, for like 5 minutes the car ran perfect, shifted to Neutral and back to first with no issues at street lights. Then when I came to the ramp to get on the highway I realized my car felt kinda weak, so a minute or two on the freeway I decided to try to gas my car to see if I was tweaking or something (I was going around 3k rpm at 3rd gear which is when my car usually builds boost), that’s when my car started stuttering and and DIDDNT go at all and my rpm bounced at 3k then I had traction control turn on and off and on. Then a few seconds later I heard loud popping noises coming from my exhaust and I pulled over immediately and popped my hood, from the engine bay it smelt like something blew/smelt like smoke or smelt really bad.
after pulling over my car would crank but my rpm would die and stall out.
anyone have any ideas of what this could be?
