Sounds like a wiring or fuel issue.

I had the same symptoms in another make of car. It took four different mechanics at as many dealerships.

The last one found a less than eighth of an inch bare spot on a wire bundle in the steering column.

As much as you may not want to hear it, seek some expert advice.

Just to add, yes your car is in limp mode. Check the wiring by your throttle body for damage.
