Hi, so i have a question regarding my Subaru, this is open for discussion. Just a couple of questions, what needs to be fixed when the Subaru only maxes out 45 mphs at 5th gear, does that mean it's in safe mode? In addition, what needs to be fixed everytime the car slows down during driving, then randomly shuts off? Every time it shuts off, then I have to use the key in the ignition to maunally turn it on. Does anyone know how to properly diagnose the issue? Thank you very much

Sounds like a wiring or fuel issue.
I had the same symptoms in another make of car. It took four different mechanics at as many dealerships.
The last one found a less than eighth of an inch bare spot on a wire bundle in the steering column.
As much as you may not want to hear it, seek some expert advice.
