So, Im thinking of doing a little exterior make over. I want to swap to the 05 STi rear fender flare flares(the little plastic pieces that go over the fender flares stock on the 05 STi). I am also going to go 05 rear bumper and 05 taillamps.

OK

So here is the wheels/tires portion. I am thinking of going to a Work Meister wheel with a black center and polished lip. SO How would I go about not rubbing on 18s (I currently run 18s) with getting a MASSIVE deep set wheel look? (big lip)

roll the rear fenders, my buddy has the same set of wheels and thats all he did

......

I guess what I was asking is anyone run a special offset wheel to get a deeper set back wheel face.

I currently run 18x8s with no rubbing so rolling my rear fenders isnt what I was after.. Thanks tho.

You think I should stagger? I dont rotate my tires anyway... They usually dont last long enough.

Also within a months to a year or so I am going to get an STi and want to swap as much of my cars stuff over as possible. Does anyone know if they offer wheels with the WRX pattern and the other pattern is the STi pattern?

I had kinda thought that 40 would do it, but also kinda thought that my current wheels were 40.

The question seems to boil down to:

What wheel is available in 8.5"+ widths, with deep dish lip, and with dual bolt patterns (5X100 and 5X114 on the same rim)?

I'm not even shopping for wheels but feel this is a terrific question and the answer is probably worth mention in a reference thread. Anybody?

I really don't like work meisters a lot people on the Z forum have them I think they look weird. Maybe they'd look better on a Wrx though. "deep dish" does look nice though in moderation.

I thought Id might like to try and see if I could get a 2" dish for the rear. Havent had any luck tho. I guess Im going to stick with what Ive got.

hhhmm weird, I know that most honda wheels are 4x100 and 4x114.3 I figured theyd also make them in 5x100 and 5x114. I may just stick with what I have and figure out what I want to do when if I get an STi, I may want it pretty toned down anyway since Im really looking for a limited.

dont think that would work as low as Bo is..

Bo, I've got 17x8 48et offest, with 245s. I had to roll my rear fenders, and that's with DF210 Tanabe springs on stock struts.

The 48et on 8" width puts my front wheel lips even with the fender, nearly.
and less of an offset, and I'd crash up my fenders... :thumbdown
