Have any of you replaced the stock stereo and get a little error message that beeps every time you start the car? It's very brief and not a huge deal but kind of annoying. I haven't installed the steering wheel controls yet. Maybe it will make that error go away?

"Please check radio" error.

"You just need to temporarily disconnect power, to reset your MFD (to make it forget it had ever seen your factory HU). You can do that by any of these methods:
Unplug the power harness from the MFD
Disconnect the fuse for that harness, #15 (I think that's on the fuse block inside the cabin, but don't yet have the full service manual. Can someone else confirm?)
Disconnect the negative terminal from your car's battery
If you don't want to open up the MFD (which really isn't that hard), I'd go with method "B", so you don't reset everything else in the car (such as your ECU)."
