2014 WRX Premium - Runs sluggish but runs brilliant after i disconnect and reconnect battery

Hello, champions.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
I bought a 2014 WRX premium 6-speed manual a year ago.
It went like a rocket for 6 months and then I noticed the performance was dropping.
My mechanic initially couldn't find anything wrong.
We changed the air filters and spark plugs but no change.
It got worse and the only thing I could notice was boost gauge was bouncing up and down.
So here's where it gets weird...
After 6 months of intermittent sluggish performance, our battery went flat.
I popped a new battery in it and took it for a drive.
It was like the day I got it. I went like a rocket !!
After a week or so it started getting sluggish again so I disconnected the battery and reconnected it after 5 minutes.
Guess what? Back to being a rocket. but only for a few days.
These days I'm disconnecting and reconnecting every couple of days.

The car doesn't display any error codes.
There's no real pattern to it.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
I'm thinking electrical but don't know where to start

Any help would be appreciated

Did you ever figure this out because mine does the same thing. I had a protune on mine and thought the tune was bad so installed Cobb accessport thinking I could run a base map till I get a new tune from a new tuner. My mistake!! But same deal if I disconnect battery it runs like a champ for two days then gets sluggish again…. I have checked everything and have had no luck resolving this issue!!!
