I run 225/50r17 Kumho Wintercraft's on 17x7.5 +40 wheel, slightly taller than oem 18s but I like the look of the meaty tires.

Do your 225s handle nicely in snow and on dry pavement?

In snow it has a good amount of lateral grip, on dry pavement when you are pushing it the rear end feels twitchy but overall I am quite happy with this setup.

@Gramser57 what do you mean by, "rear end feels twitchy with the 225/50/17s on dry pavement" -- like when you turn it doesn't feel like there's enough traction?

It feels like the rear is quick to rotate when you make fast steering inputs whereas the stock setup the rear rotation is more gradual. I would say for dry pavement its obviously not as good as OEM 245/40/18 just due to the taller sidewall, and less contact patch.
