I'm sure it will be fine. One probably won't be better than the other.

 

Even with the brace, a stiffer pitch stop by itself isn't a good idea. The firewall is not very strong. Stiffer engine and trans mounts will do more to reduce pitch without any of the risks.

 

At some point you are right, but I read on NASIOC that the additional brace really works. My OEM brace is still not unwelded after 7 years so it gives good hope... I found on American sites different aftermarket braces but some of them are from China.... American brand FRSport offers for example PLM PRECISION WORK brace (chinese)....

 

?? Did you weld pitch stop bracket or the actual pitch stop? Your first post sounded like the bracket broke off from firewall?

 

No, my bracket as a whole is still well welded with the firewall (originally). Only a metal piece close to the screw started to break and got welded. Nevertheles I want to make the bracket stronger. Below the photo of my bracket damage:

 

That's an interesting failure, usually I've seen pictures of the spot welds broken off. That said I know enough people who track/autox these cars with stock mounts so I don't know whether the failures are really weak welds or just abuse.

 

Finally, I have already bought PERRIN pitch stop brace in US and now I am waiting for the shipping to Poland. For the time being after a week of driving my welded bracket is still ok.

 

PERRIN installed, the welded metal parts are still ok. I hope the problem is over.

 

Is there any difference in pedal feel with the stainless clutch line?
