VF-34 is an ideal choice in reaching peak power. According to scoobytuner though, the VF-22 though, in the entire series, accomplishes the largest potential for peak power and can withstand up to 25 psi. Just food for thought.

The momentum will get you there safely and easily...I have seen the 40T push 30psi on an EJ20 without a hickup...now I don't recommend this without engine work...but the turbo won't break

 

vf34, 785cc injectors, tbe, fmic, headers, utec, 93 octane. 290 whp, 280 torque. It was on a dyno jet. A kid that went before me had same set up except tmic, sti pinks, and slightly ported heads. 300whp. 320 whp on race gas. Good luck

 

An 18G will you get there, but a 16G would be better for driveability for daily driving. It spools quicker than a VF34 and has more topend power.

18G & 20G even are still easily drivable....if 300whp is your goal I'd go with the Deadbolt 18G....handsdown..

 

TD06/20G would be my choice. Just did one on a WRX. 300 WHP on pump gas with internal gate. 318 WHP on pump fuel with external gate. 350 WHP on race fuel. Had more in her but it was stock manifold and stock engine so didn't want to push her too much.

Somewhere here there's a thread on the IHI VF-35, which is what I'm thinking about. It looks like a quick spooling turbo with lots of useable boost. I want something that will come on early and I don't have much need for anything that makes power much past 6500. I'm on the stock turbo with a CAI, header, UP and turboback and it pulls like a freight train from about 3000 up. Seems like it wants to keep pulling beyond the redline and I don't really need that.

On 91oct 18psi and 110 oct 23psi...on that tune I reached full boost at around 3500rpm's...that is with a Huge FMIC
