ok, what is the Stock Hp/Torque on the different year Sti's and Wrx's? Wheel vs. Crank.....

I have an 04 Sti and keep finding different ratings from different places. can someone clear this up for me?

300/300 for '04-'07 STi
227/217 for '02-'05 WRX
230/235 for '06/'07 WRX

WHP/WTQ will vary based on temperature, elevation, dyno type, how the stars are aligned, etc. (expect a ~20-25% drivetrain loss)

what in the world are you talking about with the horsepower decrease for the '07???
"SAE rating" - I forgot about that (the STi went down to 293hp)

It's just the different system they used for the 07 MY. Suppose to have been more accurate with the numbers but from my understanding the tune on the 07's weren't that great and needed to be reflashed by the dealer.

at the wheels..the 06-07 wrx's are around 200hp and 250 ft.lb. they were under rated from the factory.

edit:i'm assuming the 08's as well

09 WRX also underrated by the factory, the 244 ft lbs the factory claims at the crank- most are seeing that (and even more) at the wheels, hp is also underrated but not near as much as the torque #'s

I think underrating the power is a common thing with Subaru, when I dyno'd my 2004 STi that was bone stock, it put down 289 whp/280 wtq. Now with it being rated at 300/300 to the crank, that is either a ridiculously low amount of transmission loss or a very underrated motor lol.

A bone stock '04 STI, 289/280? Have you confirmed that on another dyno?
