Remove OEM Roof Rack

I have a 2008 STI wagon. I've been reading through many threads, but can't find a concrete answer. When installing the OEM roof rack from bare, I know there are prepared holes on the roof already that have a cover on them. My question is, after installing the OEM roof rack, can you remove it and simply replace the cover that was on it previously? Or do you have to fill up the holes after removal? Thanks!

It flips up. The cover doesn't remove, it just moves out of the way.

So can you remove the OEM roof rack and put the cover back in place? Or do you have to fill up the holes after removal?

pop the cover up and see if the holes are pre-drilled if they are then don't worry about filling them. if they are not then get a few little rubber plugs
