Issues swapping out infotainment in base 2022 WRX

I decided to purchase the infotainment screen from a WRX premium and swap it in to my 2022 base model. Everything went in fine, but when I powered the car on the screen displayed everything sideways. I can still interact with the screen, but it feels like the bottom screen from the base infotainment is the only part I can interact with. I've checked all of the connections and reset the unit a handful of times. Does anyone else have any ideas?

FYR - this makes me think that you only swapped out the display and not the display control electronics. The infotainment that you removed - did it also have an amplifier?

I just had the same results..

I switched the screen only at first and kept the original receiver and got the whole sideways view on the screen. It then became obvious that the radio still believed it had the base screen and was attempting to display it as such. If anyone wants to do this project you need the screen as well as the silver box on the bottom that came from a higher trim level vehicle
