If you saw anything over 100 PSI, there'd be something very wrong.

Usually 20-40 PSI.

 

Even at WOT it wouldn't pass 100? I know some cars max out their stock gauges past 90 psi

Cold pressure will obviously be higher.

Maybe the 100 psi gauge is enough? I wonder how other earlier wrx are getting around 100psi at high rpm.

 

If you are going full throttle on a cold engine, the oil pressure gauge is that last thing you need to be worrying about.

Sounds like you've already made your decision. No skin off my back. It's your money. Just don't blow it on garbage gauges.

 

I never go full throttle on a cold engine lol. Some just documented oil pressure being high when cold and under load. If their oil is warm or not at high rpm is unknown.
