Have you installed these wheels before and all was good? Something is rubbing, even a bit of gravel.

 

no they are definitely a new setup of rims and tires as it being my first year with the car , maybe the wrong offset ? im somewhat new to the subie world aswell, i was more of a truck guy most of my life.

 

I think you know what is happening, get in there jack up a wheel and spin by hand and see what is going on, work around the car and look at each one. I think someone sold you the wrong rims.

 

You'll see the wheels rubbing as the aluminum will clearly show signs of wear.

What offset are these wheels I'm guessing you went for the roller skate look and the tires are rubbing on fenders.

 

bought basic steel rims at a fountain tire in northern BC, and the tires are not rubbing on the fenders i can positively acknowledge that. i jacked it up in the back and both rear tires turn but i have to use a bit of elbow grease to make them do so while hearing abit of a scratching noise while i turn them, and with the e-brake off of course.

 

Look at the calipers and inside of the wheel.

 

Could be your dust shields rubbing against the discs.

i think it was those dust sheilds guys thanks, just pryed the rear ones out a tad and no more grinding

 

ok so it wasnt the dust shields , ive noticed that the harder i turn my wheels left or right the louder it gets if that helps at all

 

Are you sure that the wheel is not rubbing on the brake caliper? Are the wheels the same diameter as what you took off? Same offset? If the offset is different, the wheel could be rubbing on the brake caliper and a small wheel spacer will get you fixed up if this is the case.
