Okay, I've searched, and I have come up with many different answers.

I always pronounce it as "impressa".

From everything I read, I have concluded the following:

British - "Impretsa"
Japanese - "Impressa"
North America - "Imprezza"

I have also heard other crazy crap like in-pur-essa, in-pur-ezza, im-pree-za, im-pray-za, and impretzel :confused1 But most people around here say Imprezza.

Anyways, would "Impressa" be correct since the car is indeed Japanese?

Yes the car is an Impressa, at least thats how some crazy japanese guy explained it to me, he asked what car I had and told him, then he explained to me that there z is an s sound...Then I said kind of like your r is like an L and he just got *****y after that...Hehe

Its all dependant upon your dialect.

the English make Z sound like a TH as in "Ibiza, Spain is Ibitha" (real annoying).

The French make TH sound like a Z as in "Zhe car is red"

the Japanese must make an S sound for a Z.

and we say Zee.

Also on the topic of Z's, I think the US are one of the only countries (not sure who else) that says Z as Zee. I remember watching the top gear video of the 350z and they say Z as Zed. Some other people said that alot of countries pronounce it like that too.
Yea they say it in UK, Ireland, Canada, etc.

A girl i work w/ is from Ireland and i joke w/ her whenever she says "Zed" or other funny things hahahah. she's a good sport about it.
