The tob is an issue in the newer cars but it doesn't usually lead to a slipping clutch.

If you leave the car in gear and push the clutch pedal to the floor does the car start smoothly or does it lurch?

At 277 you should be well within using the OEM clutch.

375 would be pushing it.

Do you have any information on the clutch? Some of them list wheel HP over crank hp and that can get you. If you are making 300whp you are pushing up towards 400 at the crank depending on the Dyno.

 

Was your flywheel resurfaced? Maybe its not in tolerance?

 

Not to poke holes in your work but how confident are you with the installation process? If spacing is jacked somehow it could feel like a wear issue.

 

Two notes:
- looking at the website, they just state "110%" of holding power over stock (measured as crank). Do they actually state anywhere the power levels this clutch is good for?

Another thing... they do advise 4500 RPMs and sub for the first 1000 miles (not sure why? I get not dropping the clutch w/ a 500 wtq immediately after installing... but clutch break-in?). But say this makes sense to people who know more than me... did you do that?

 

You should always follow proper break in periods...

There are multiple things that can go wrong with how the throw out bearing and the throw out bearing arm operate. There is the possibility that the arm is only connected on one side and loose on the other. Are you sure its in the peddle and not a non clutch issue?
