Yeah, it's probably only a one year production run. I highly doubt it will ever be a collector's item.

Exactly. Coming from a soon to be owner of a TR, I don’t feel it’ll be worth any more or less than any other ‘24 WRX that comes with the manual gearbox.

My dad did the same thing. Bought a 2013 BOSS 302 when Ford re-released it. Only like 2k made in his color and option combination. Owned it for 11 years and only put 4k on it. He sold it last weekend at a loss. Didn’t even call me first to ask me if I wanted to buy it.
TBH, only reason I went with the TR over the Limited is I wanted the Recaros and I HATE moonroofs/sunroofs. The Brembos are just a plus.

 

It's one year because they improved it for 2025. The new TS is basically a TR with the GT's electronic dampers and the same brakes painted gold instead of red.

 

Why go back to the standard muffs? I'm looking to go the other way (standard to STi). Do you not like the STi muffs? Just curious if they have issues like drone, etc.

 

I’m old. They drone to much. Especially on thy highway.

 

Thanks for the info. I'm old too lol, but would like to have a bit more exhaust note inside the cabin. Youtube sound clips don't really tell the whole story.

 

I should have tried the STI mufflers first. Went with the q300 and it is no louder than stock.

 

Seems odd that they would only run it for one year unless sales were horrendous. That being said they had two at my dealer. I got mine for invoice price and 1.9% APR so maybe there isn't a lot of interest.

 

What exactly is invoice on a new TR? 🤔... Thinking of trading in my 2018 WRX.

 

Performance cars have personality.. embrace it.
I hate the auto headlight strategy on this car, could care less about the eyesight system or the stereo system.
But throw this car into an off camber corner in 3rd, the electronic wizardry combined with the open diffs point the car exactly where it should go... is grin inducing magic.

Yeah the TR doesn't have anything special in the drivetrain. It's standard issue brake torque vectoring. Subaru does tune their VDC system better than most but it still has the inherent disadvantages of a viscous coupling + open diff combo.

 

This car was built for the tarmac enthusiast . It is what it is and delivers as intend.

 

Yup, US msrp is 32k for base model and 41k for TR/RS.

That's interesting, I was always under the impression that cars are much more expensive in Canada.
