Wrx vs sti... worth the $$$?

Been away from this forum awhile, but currently looking at replacement car. Test drove a new wrx so far, couldnt test an sti yet. One thing I keep seeing is the torque range is more livable in the wrx since it starts up around 2k rpm while sti is around 4k rpm.
Here's a question as I'm still new to turbos and tuning them. Is there a way to tune the new sti to deliver power sooner like the wrx?
Thanks ?

One thing I would like to add as I really can't find it online, the subaru maintenance booklet. I know many ask for it. And I see in my readings here that the cost of maintaining the sti is much greater than the wrx.
However, I have a 14 forester xt and my maintenance manual shows ALL vehicles services needed for 2014.
It shows the wrx and sti being identical. The service seems to also mirror a normal impreza. Besides the timing belt service at 105k miles, nothing else is different.
I wish the manual was easier to find. I'm always on the miata.net forum and they have all brochures and manuals ever needed for every year.
So is it actually true the sti is much more expensive for routine services?
Appreciate all the feedback ?

Parts are more expensive because rice tax. The manual also kind of glides over "extreme conditions" but the wrx and sti typically fall under those regardless. So fluid changes are more often, and require better oil. Especially in the EJ, oil quality there is Paramount.
Thank you, makes sense. With my turbo forester, I change oil every 5-6k miles even though it states 7.5k. Plus it's full synthetic oil changes.
