Seems like a lot of metal came out of rear differential at 30,000 mile oil change

Actually, it was at 38,000 miles, which I know was overdue, but I gotta be honest here...
When I changed the gear oil in the rear differential of my 2017 WRX, there was a good bit of shavings and small particles of steel on the magnet, maybe a little too much . But that didn't worry me as much as when I shoved my finger into the drain hole to see if I could pull more out and felt chunks and pieces that remained on the bottom of the housing. I got a strong magnet and stuck it a few inches into the hole and (after almost not being able to get it out when it slipped off the rod I had it taped to!) pulled it out it had a lot of chunks and nuggets and pieces stuck to it. Pictures are enclosed, they show about everything that came out of the differential. The filings on the drain plug are clean looking because I sprayed it with brake cleaner to get the sludge off.
Does this seem excessive for a differential of this age? I generally drive it pretty conservatively, and don't do any launches or drag racing kind of starts. But it did have 11,000 miles on it when i bought it, so I don't know the history from when it was new to that mark.
As a side note, in case anyone is interested or thinks that it's not a good combo, I put 2.5 quarts of Subaru HPGO 75/90 and one quart of Redline lightweight shockproof in the front diff/manual transmission, and just the Super S in the rear, and it drives and shifts fantastic, and generally feels happy with what I put in it. But it never felt bad before the change either. It just feels , I don't know, smoother and it goes into 1st as easily as in any car I've ever driven.
