Secret kill switch

It depends on how electrically inclined you are. You can do it with a simple toggle switch hidden somewhere or you can get more complicated with relays. If you have a mechanic do it, make sure it's someone you trust. Most people that install kill switches don't want others to know where they are. . .otherwise, it makes it easier to defeat them.

Hre's an idea for a kill switch. Just go off of the neutral safety switch wires at the clutch switch. Use a momentary switch so that the button has to be pressed in order for the starter to engage. That way you still have everyday drivability in case the switch fails. It would be easy to fix that problem in a parking lot if you know what you are looking for. Or if you really want to get fancy, you can wire a relay up to your turn signal or something of the sort so that you have to have that particular item on while trying to crank the car. Just my .02 dollars...
The only issue I have with your ideas is that it doesn't stop someone from push starting the car. In NJ, where we have had a rash of thefts lately, the theives are showing up with another car and using it to push start cars if they can't get the engine to turn over. For these instances, a fuel cut switch would work much better.

If you're concerned about a relay or switch failure leaving you stranded, you can wire in a molex connector or something similar and hide it somewhere. Then, if the relay/switch fails, you can plug in the other half of the connector to complete the circuit that you need. You'd need to use something that not everyone would have handy. . .so don't use a fuse holder or something like that.
