Does the ETS intake really require no tune?

Any intake that isn't the OEM intake requires a tune.

That’s what I thought, but the ETS website claims no tune needed for intake.

I just got my 2022 WRX a few days a go, and am thinking about a swap for a little extra noise (mainly quality noise- not too much).
This seems like a good option to me. Anyone tried one of these?

On the fa20 the 5” muffler is a little louder than stock. I have the 4” muffler and think the 5” would have been perfect for me.
