Clutch switch ( starter enable) bypass?

There is a neutral position switch in the manual transmissions, at least in my 2021 VA. It's part of the cruise control system. The cruise control system won't engage when in neutral and will disengage if you power shift without using the clutch. The switch gear position is also for cruise control.

Nope, I have the same one & I went through the shop manual and parts diagram multiple times. There's no position switch inside gearbox other than reverse for the camera.

Cruise control disengages because it compares engine rpm to wheel speed and realizes something is off. Also if you powershift without clutch, you won't have a gearbox eventually.
See attached wiring diagram.

If you stall at a light (which, of course, none of us do), would you take the time to shift to neutral, start, then into first, or simply push the clutch in, start, and go?

Here is one of silver_scooby's pictures with the locations of the neutral and reverse switches shown (based on Subaru's parts diagram).

From the wiring diagrams, the clutch cruise control switch provides 12V to the ECU when closed, while the neutral switch provides a ground. The clutch start switch provides 12V to the starter relay when closed.

Is the neutral switch part of the starter circuit or strategy? - No, it's only part of the cruise control system.

Also does the engine ECU disable the starter when the engine is running? - Yes

Do you have access to the wiring diagrams for a 2024 TR? Trying to learn how this integrates with the new eyesight system. - No, I only have the diagrams for my 2021 VA.
