well compared to the G35, the sit is all taht he said, but he is obviously into luxury and not performance. the ride is "terrbile" as far as comfortableness since the suspension is mcuh stiffer than the g35 and the interior isnt luxurious, but he doesnt get the concpet the sti is pure performance and the g35 is intended for the I have to impress people with my car people (well some g35 are cool so this doesnt apply to those) or think they are better than everyoen because they have a g35 (hated g35ers like that when I had my Z, buddy, we have the same f*cking car, but mine is faster so stfu! lol) but oh well

Different strokes for different folks, he just seemed to be soemone that prefered 'luxury' over performance. My grandfathers the same way, no big deal.

short version: arrogant guy on my friends g35 forum says STi's suck

my best friend has a 04 g35 coupe, a spetacular car, and he belongs to a forum much like this one, he showed me a thread on his forum that discussed STi's and Evo's and this one g35 owner said that the STi rides terrible, and interior is terrible, and that it is simply a souped up outback!!!! Then added that he wouldn't pay more than 10 grand on an sti or evo! I was so mad i didnt even know what to say. The STi, being such an imaculate car as it is, doesnt deserve that kind of down talk from somebody who thinks a car isnt nice unless it has leather seats and doesnt no ***t about cars. What do you guys have to say about this?

Everyone has their own different opinions about cars. I like G35's though....sti's even more

 

there are going to be ignorant people out there no matter where you go. It is best to just ignore these type of people and let them live in their "ignorance is bliss" mind-set. If he has not been beaten by an STi/Evo yet, I am sure its bound to happen some day

I've posted in the thread that he's referencing on G35Driver. Let's not start a mirror image of that thread here with idiots talking down the G, talking up the STi, blah blah blah. Needless to say, I defended the Evo and STi as being great sports sedans for those that have less need for the creature comforts and beauty of the G35. They're different cars for different people. End of story, thank you, come again.

Let me assure you that my G35 6MT wasn't simply intended to impress people. It is just as rock stable in the corners, if not more so, than my WRX on Eibachs and 17" wheels, has wonderful torque, and is a true performance GT. I will admit to being in love with the way the car looks. Sue me if that's a crime!

The 350Z actually looks even better to me now that I have a G. If I didn't have to cram in 2 children in the back, occasionally, it might have been a serious contender for my next car.

There are definitely some snobbish G35 owners out there. But truthfully, there's some snobbish Subaru owners right here. It's a bit hypocritical for people here to start pointing fingers and saying "Hey, Look at them! They're pretending like the car that their forum's all about is better than everyone else's! How dare them!!"

not all g35 owners are snobs, some of them are very nice. (my cousins boyfriend is about to get one haha and so is another cousin). I see g35's around here all the time, they are usually driven by older people and they dont even pay attention to cars like evo's or sti's, why would they?

now the younger crowd who owns these cars. Well some of them think its a rocket that could beat anything etc etc. I've smoked one guy in a his g35 black three times total so far. Once with my wrx and twice with my sti. 3 times with his gf sitting next to him. Its an auto g35 coupe and the guy just revs at me everytime his next to me and i oblige. Last time it happened i told him to make sure his gf isnt in the car next time so he wont be too embarassed. Of course not all of them are like that, i know a couple of guys who have them and are young and there cool. They understand what sti/wrx/evo is and anything else.

 

Fact: STi has two more doors than a G35c.
