Looking at a few base WRX's here in NY.

Both are the base models.

#1 is silver and has a MSRP of $ 28,950. Sales manager quoted $ 27,900 plus $ 399 doc fee and then TTL.
#2 is black and has a MSRP of $ 29,553. Sales manager quoted $ 28,106 plus TTL.

Are these generally how much these cars cost? My last car was a Chevy and they dropped like 4k off the sticker.

I bought a black base WRX back in June in St. Louis for $26,250 plus TTL, and that was after I really pushed the negotiating. Basically zero options on mine - I'd look at the stickers to compare specifics because little options can add in a couple hundred bucks here and there. Might just be a better market here in cheap ol' Missouri than in NY though.

I found a gray one marked down to 25,xxx. I have a feeling it’s a bait and switch, but I still emailed the dealer to confirm.

I’ll be making the three hour drive to get it if they will actually sell it at that price.

I am in negotiations for one. The guy offered invoice right off the bat, which was 27,323 with a few options like the armrest and cargo tray, home link etc. I asked if they would take them off and they said no, so I am just going to go with it. I can't find any other base lapis blue WRXs within 300 miles of me.

2020 WRX Premium w/ Performance Pkg (Brembo + Recaro, sunroof delete) and Preferred Equip Pkg (all weather mats + trunk liner, wheel locks, rear bumper protector, LED cabin lights).

$34K all in, driving away.

Funny thing is I wasn’t really looking for another car. My Subaru dealer also sells Cadillac, and I was having my V Wagon serviced. Walked over to the Subi lot and noticed a silver WRX hiding in the back. If I was trying to sell cars, that one would have been out front on the carousel. Anyway, looked at the window sticker and thought to myself that if I was going to order one, that’s exactly the way I’d want it. Went inside and made a cash deal...no regrets...
