Hey guys,
Bought a 2015 WRX CVT just over a year ago and have had the following Check Engine Light codes pop up almost every week:
P0451-EVAP Emission control system pressure sensor range
P2227 - Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance
I did have a check engine light come on once prior to doing any mods, and this first one the dealer said was related to the MAP sensor and cleared the code. Since then I had the following mods:
Over the course of the 7 months I had these mods on, I'd say I got those check engine light codes at least 2-3 times a month. Generally these codes would come up only on startup, and when I'd crank it over it'd almost die a little then rebound and the CEL would come on.
Took it into the dealer and they had a field service engineer come from out of town twice to look at my car and was able to find that there was an internal error in the ECM that was "caused by the AP" and was causing issues with reading the MAP sensor. They denied one warranty claim and I called BS on this and told them that this type of problem happened before any mods were even done, and with everything completely back to stock it would happen. It even took a phone call to complain to Subaru of America... So they finally covered the ECM replacement last week and everything seems good so far.
I wanted to know if anyone has ever heard of an AP causing this type of error in an ECM? I'm kind of nervous to put the AP back on, but I love the performance with it on!!

- TGV Deletes
- EGR Delete
- AccessPort with Stage 1 Dom Tune by Turn in Concepts
- Mishimoto Cold Air Intake with Box
