Tried searching the forum for some information but found nothing so figured I would post...

Is anyone leasing their 2015 WRX?

Looking for information on residual values for a 6 spd base and premium with a typical lease (12k/36mo.) I called my local Subaru dealer but they were hesitant to give me this information. They eventually told me 61% for the base and 58% for the premium. I think these numbers are low for a car that has an award from KBB for best resell in its' class.

I leased my 2015 WRX base in November. I have a 12k/year, 35mo lease. 58.5% residual. I didn't do the best job negotiating so you might do better.

Okay, interesting. I saw on KBB that the residual on the '14 WRX @ 36mo was 63.7% which is part of the reason I was surprised by what the dealer told me...

What was the money factor you got with your deal?

Thanks for the reply!

Having never leased a vehicle, what is this "residual" you speak about?

Residual value is how much the vehicle is worth after the lease term ends. "The residual value is determined by the bank that issues the lease before the lease begins. It is based on past models and future predictions. It is an important factor in determining the car's monthly lease payments (the other factors are the interest rate and tax)."
