Yet another roof rack thread
So as it states I'm brand new to the Subaru crowd roof racks are ungodly expensive as 99% of you know already. I've looked at about 99 bajilloin options for the subie. But just can't bring myself to pick up a rack for so dang much! I just need the cross rails and feet from time to time to get what won't fit in the trunk for a random trip to the in laws house about 2 hours away. That random Christmas holiday or thanksgiving trip when we take the dogs.
Who has bought a cheap set of rails......I know you get what you pay for. Amazon offers a ton of universal options for cheap considering this is a once in a blue moon thing. Anyone used any cheap options.

No way I’m putting a bag on the roof without the rails to get it up off the roof lol I can’t imagine what kind of scratches would be left by that thing

Another option is a hitch and Harbor Fright trailer with the bag.

Hey I've got a really cheap idea. Buy a wire dog kennel for the inlaws which they can keep in their basement or garage. Those things fold down to an inch thick.
Even the largest one would be well under $100, and best of all you wouldn't risk scratching your beloved WRX!
