Hi, new to the forums.

i have a 03' wrx with an xforce turboback exhaust. its 3" all the way.

i was wondering, will this postively or negatively impact my performance.

ive heard that backpressure drops and that 3" isnt good for a car with a stock turbo. Blah blah blah.

it would be great if somone could help me.
Cheers.

The turbo is creating the back pressure at that point. 3" will be fine. People confuse N/A exhaust theory with forced induction exhaust theory.

Without a tune it does very little to help you, but I won't say that it's particularly damaging.

Making your car breath as well as possible is the ultimate goal, some things can negatively affect the performance if not accounted for in a tune, but others not so much. It all depends on the cars set up. Being that you have a bugeye, it's not particularly a bad thing, but it's not doing anything for you per se.

Get a retune, preferably a protune, and you'll discover what that car is truely capable of with that particular mod.

Doesn't really matter when it starts boosting. It matters when it achieves target boost. Like Anub1s said, that car needs to be retuned for those mods.
