Hey, looking to install a Rockford Fosgate P300 in my 2017 WRX with the basic sound system and was wondering if it might void any part of my warranty.

i really don't see how it could, unless you went in for a warranty claim about your speakers not working and they discovered it was because you wired it up wrong or fried something. but mechanically, i don't think you have to worry about any warranty issues.

let me know how bad it rattles though...i have a sub I want to install but i'm holding off for that reason

If you have it in the trunk and the sound pressure from it damages anything else back there (fuel control unit, keyless access antenna, keyless entry receiver,.....) warranty void for those things.

I get what your saying, but since I'm not using OEM parts installed by Subaru themselves, I still question it. I am having it professionally installed though.

Will do. There are ways to keep the rattle to a minimum, I'll have to do some research. Plus, I'm not trying to rattle the neighbors windows , I just want to improve the ****ty factory stereo sound.

Warranty issues are not a yes/no deal. But as you go down the line (factory install - port install - dealer install - aftermarket shop install - self install) the more likely problems will not be covered under warranty.
