Hi gang,

I'm debating getting an STI. I currently have some 18x8 +48 Focal F04 wheels with 235/45R18 winter tires on them. Will this setup swap right over to the STI? Tire Rack is recommending the same wheels but with 245/40R18 tires... so mine are just a tad taller (26.3" diameter vs. 25.7" diameter). Seems like they should work fine and should be a hair better for snow since mine are a little thinner. Just wanted to see if anybody had experience with this size in case it somehow is right at the limit or something. Thanks!

I can't speak for that exact size but I run 245/40/18 on 18x9 +33 with no rub even hard into a turn on a stock 16 sti. I would assume the lower offset would be more likely to rub than the +48. I have also run 17x8 +45 with 235/45/17 with no rub. All overall diameters were 25.4-25.6 but the +45's had plenty of room as well as being within the wheel well. My winter set is 17x7.5 +45 with 235/45/17 & I wish I got a size taller for some extra winter ground clearance & there is plenty of room to do so.

Nice, thanks for the info. Do you happen to know if it's easy to program the TPMS sensors? I had a 2018 Impreza and could never get any of the aftermarket tools to program the Tire Rack TPMS sensors to the car. Just wondering if that has been resolved yet (I might start a different thread with this question).

For my winter setup Discount tire used a 2017 Impreza to code my TPMS I bought from them. Worked fine and had no issues once they put the summers on with stock sensors. 2017 WRX
