Just NXT'ed my car and my hood always hazes after a wax. FYI: I waxed in the shade and the hood was cool to the touch. Only the hood hazes, not even the scoop, just the hood. I usually hit it with 2 coats of quick detailer to minimize the haze but its still there for about a day or so. Why is this?

rags could be damp. even a little moisture w/ do that.

dirty rags will not wipe clean either.

I've never used the quick detailer though.

I use clean rags and generally turn to a clean side every panel to get a good wipe. Even with a fresh rag, this will happen on my 100% dry hood. I just find it strange that this only occurs on the hood.

Do you have any sort of paint polish on the car? Have you ever spilled anything like Rain-X on your hood? Some polishes and stuff like that will not bond with wax.
Try Dawn-washing your car and starting over with the wax.

you may think the hood is cool, but the heat under it can still cause it to haze
I think that might be it. When I waxed it last night I dawned the car to strip the old wax. I do apply the wax in with a one motion technique. I know how to wax and polish, I babied my Integra. I just find it strange. Ah well, what can I do. :wiggles:
