Look at this fuuny ****. SSR makes the Type-C in 17 x 8 +48 offset to fit our car with noproblem. Then they step up to 18 x 8.5 +45 which we know is a tight squeeze.

Why cant we get together and have the SSR Type C made 18 x 8 with a +48 offset. We would be able to run larger tires for a wider contact patch like say a 235 or 245/ 40 / 18.

There are so many 17 in combos that work great but once you go to 18 they start messing with the damn offset.

That's mostly because Subaru messed with the offset first. The Subaru offset is very uncommon among wheel manufacturers. If you can convince them to make a wheel for a very small percentage of their potential market, then great. But your chances of succeeding are slim to none.
