Wheel fitment

Hello guys, so I got my first 16 wrx and im trying to get some wheels for it,ESR Sr02 18x9.5 +35. I just dont know what size of tire should I get so I dont have any rubbing issues. Would a 245/40/18 be ok? Cars suspension is stock and I dont plan lowering it anytime soon or at all. Sorry just a noob on wheel fitment.

If performance is important to you, I would suggest running a wheel that is closer to factory spec, particularly if you are running OEM tire width. Cheers!

Performance is not important to me for now, once the warranty end itll be. just want to have nicer wheels for now and the ESR sr02 have been my dream wheels
OK, but you understand that you will be SACRIFICING performance, yes?

Yeah I understand that, would you recommend 8.5 instead of 9.5?

Since you do not care about performance, go with the skinnier wheel to reduce tire price.
