i just got a set of rota sdrs, and i need tires for them. i was talkin to my friend who said he had 205/45/ on his 17's and he bent a rim pretty easily because the tire was so thin. i was lookin at 205/50's what do you suggest for a tire size? also ill be lowering the car, with 1.6/f 1.3/b

Well you want to try and keep the overall diameter of the tire the same or close to stock so you dont have to re-calibrate your speedometer and odometer. Try here to find the right size.

It sounds likea pretty crappy rim to bend with 45s as that is not very low. They make them down to 30s and I have seen wrxs with 18 inch rims and 35's. I guess it is all dependent on where you live.

225/45 17. Maybe 215/45 17 if you have a lowered wagon but then you have to take many thing into account.

And you have to remember that the second number is a ratio and not a height. A 165/45 isn't going to have as much sidewall as a 325/45.
