What should I do next?!

748 Views 9 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  MainFrame
On my 2014 hatch, I currently have cobb intake, Nameless Exhaust, Kartboy short throw, and Perrin shift stop. I will be getting a Cobb AP in February. What should I do next. I was thinking along the lines of some type of catted downpipe or an Air Oil Separator from Grimspeed. Let me know what y'all think!

Thanks

Accessport, then catted downpipe would be perfect. The GrimmSpeed AOS is not the best choice. I had one.
Yes, the downpipe should be done along with the "stage 2 + intake" ECU calibration. After that, IMO, focus should be on cornering and braking. Good tires, good brake pads with SS lines and fluid change. Good springs and dampers with swaybars after (the 2014 WRX suspension is quite poor from the factory -- this is a big area for improvement).

I am concerned that you are currently running the OEM ECU calibration with the Cobb intake. This should not be the case. You should replace with the stock intake until you are able to resolve this discrepancy.
Thanks! What AOS do you recommend?

I bought the car and it already had the intake and exhaust on it. Since it already had a Cobb SF, I am trying to get a cobb AP ASAP! do you have any suggestions on brake pads, ss lines?

I'd worry about that after you get the ecu calibration done.

why the grimmspeed aos is not the best option?

Yep, that and it is not recommended for autox or track days. I installed a Crawford AOS. Had to give up cruise control - which I rarely used anyway.
