My '87 Starion with 25k actual miles (same as your conquest):

Was that repainted? It looks beautiful. Mine was a bit faded. The bumpers looked like they were fresh off of Barbie's car! :D I tried Meguiar's 3-step, but it brought out the primer...the paint was too far gone.

VV - Beautiful Conquest/Starion and your other rides as well!

XRW URABUS - WHOA. Now that's a true automotive menagerie! :)

Here's my not-so-short, and only semi-sweet list (in chronological order) :)

'84 Isuzu Impulse (I had to learn on something - right?) :) - ?
'89 Mustang 5.0/AOD - 15.90's :-(
'71 Mustang Notchback/C6/9" - 11.68 @ 117
'90 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - 13.70 @ ?
'94 Camaro Z28/A4 - 14.51 @ ?
'95 Chevy S10 Ext. Cab - ?
'93 Suzuki Katana 600 - ? (<-- SLOW)
'93 Honda CBR600F2 - ? (<-- What am I Crazy? :)
'94 Mustang GT/Powerdyne/Tremec/8.8" - 11.96 @ 114.58
'01 Lexus IS300 - 15.90's (As fast as my 5.0! :)
'02 Subaru WRX - 14.80's (Grrr - damn this Hawaii humidity! :)

That's it... Kaput... I can't afford another car. Errrr - until I hit that jackpot and fill my garage with all sorts of Euro trash and V10 muscle. And maybe buy VV's red plastic fantastic while I'm at it. :)

Aloha,
Richard...

Doesn't look like 430RWHP with A/C, Power Steering, and Daily Driver manners does it? Hmmm... 14mpg on a good day though. :)

It sure isn't pretty - but I was always more worried about "go" than "show". :)

This is what I bought when I worked for the dealership and thought I wanted "refinement" (pre mid-life crisis crisis? :)

Sold it <2 years later for something with alittle more sizzle (the WRX). :)

What I used to be doing every weekend. :) I don't know if you can see it in this cruddy scanned pic - but there's green light shining from under that left front tire as it hangs in the air a bit. Now THAT was fun. :) The timeslip and the picture aren't from the same run...

Wow - it's amazing how much better a digicam comes out than my HP scanner. These are 10 year old pictures and a low-$ scanner... But you get the idea. There were LITERALLY 15+ coats of acrylic red lacquer on this baby. Polishing this car was almost SEXUAL. :D

Don't even get me going about starting the motor... 351C-4v + .030", 12.75:1 (!!) compression, .590" lift / 254 @ .050" lift solid cam, 850cfm Holley DP on an Edelbrock Torker, C6 w/10" 3200rpm stall, 9" with 4.56 gears and a 31-spline Detroit Locker. Oh and believe it or not - this was back in the day when "Supertrapps" were en vogue so this thing made a very unique noise. :)

Mine:

'29 Ford Model A Tudor (Bought at 14 for $80 and completely rebuilt engine. Did the rest up as a high school driver, with bright orange paint, metallic vinyl seats.)
'68 VW Beetle Convertible - bought for $1200.
'69 Fiat 124 Station Wagon - $650; my original SUV. Camped in it, drove it everywhere. The rust killed it long before the engine gave up.
'31 Ford Model A Deluxe Coupe - Grandpa's project I took over, but never finished. Sold for house downpayment.
'75 VW Scirocco - $5500; my first new car. Drove for 11 years, until the engine disintegrated coming home from work one day.
'81 Dodge Colt - $3500 with 50k miles. Just a driver to get by, but ended up a good reliable car. Twin Stick transmission (dual range 4 speed.)
'87 Ford Ranger - $14k, drove for 10 years
'97 Ford F-150 - 20 feet of truck! (Still have: see web page below. For Sale $12k)
'58 MGA 1500 Roadster - my toy when we paid off the house! (Still have, of course)
'02 Subaru WRX Sport Wagon - Black! Just got in February

Deb's:
'68 Chevrolet Camaro
'78 Chevrolet Camaro
'83 Honda Accord
'94 Honda Accord
'01 Audi A6 2.8q (still have)

'02 WRX Wagon, 7 months
'98 Jeep Cherokee, 4 years, trying to sell it now
'68 Mustang w/289, owned for 12 years
'71 Chevy Malibu w/302. Died pretty quick.

I loved working on the stang, and learned how to rebuild a motor with it. The reliability of this one wasn't very good, so while I enjoyed it, I'm also glad it's gone.

I usually have 2-3 at a time and they overlap each other. I had the bug, '79 stang, '73 torino, '80 rabbit, and the mazda all at the same time, trying to fix 'em and sell 'em.

I have a friend that is 26 and is now on his 71st car.......LOL!

funny, i'm seeing people with LOTS of other cars and not many subaru vehicles popping up on these lists at all. BANDWAGONERS!!! :p

granted i didn't own a subaru since 1993 before getting my wrx but there's at least there's some history in my lineage!

btw, you all know that even though this is true, i could care less if this is your first subaru or not, this is just a stab at i-club old school superiorist mentality.

What bandwagon? Subaru wasn't making anything good until the early 90's. All their cars rotted out here. Should we all have driven Brat's? Justy's?

Not much performance to be had out of the SVX either. So what bandwagon? You could say that about any car out there if you wanted too. Nobody is born with a suby. Every kid in the world is running around with a Mustang now and I had 3 of them over the past 10 years, before most of them could even drive, and I'm not running around calling them bandwagoners.:p
