I just picked up an 02 WRX and discovered a wayward vacuum line. I'm still learning my way around under the hood and don't find it in the service manual so I'll describe it as best as I can. It originates somewhere under the brake master cylinder and is mostly white, flexible plastic with an outside diameter of approximately 1/8". The loose end is typical black rubber, about 6" long. I'm unable to locate any hoseless connections with one exception. On the air by-pass valve on the front of the intercooler there is a connection on the driver's side that has been capped off. Could that be my missing link or do I need to keep looking?

+1 Pictures would be helpful...I was first thinking he might be talking about the vent tube for the TGV's until he said its a small white line...haha

Finally got back into my site. Here's the photo. There is a T that is on one of the air bypass tubes and the other one on the right is just hanging out. Thanks for all your replies so far.
