What's the general consensus on undercoating ? is it worth it ?

I went to get my tires changed at Midas, and they recommended undercoating. I do live in Canada, so we get a huge amount of salt on the roads during winter...

My ride is a 2012 WRX.

It’s a mixed bag. On a new car it can help but usually voids any manufacturer rust warranty because it can actually trap moisture.

The trapping moisture is also why I would avoid it on a used car personally. Anything there will not go away.

Thanks for the advice. I think I wont bother.
Read Subaru’s corrosion clause first and see if it’s worth it to you. Your car may also have some form of it or another

My parents did Ziebart on a 70 Impala and 76 Grand Prix when they were new. Neither of them rusted even after 150K and 10+ years of driving year round in PA. BUT they drove them from the dealership to the place to get it done in dry weather. Id never undercoat a used car.
