I was checking my oil and I happened to notice this bolt hanging out. Is this common? What does it do? Anyone know the torque spec on it? Should I put locktite blue/red?It's from 2017 STI, brand f*c*in' new and falling apart.

a bolt didn't get tightened, or may've backed out. Far from "falling apart".

I would just tighten it down.

It looks like a bracket bolt. I would tighten it down and go about your business.

Looks like it holds the A/C compressor. Do not use red loctite!

It's not the end of the world, but it is unacceptable IMO.

At the very least, SOA should be made aware of this.

I agree call Subaru of America. However this is a common occurrence in mass produced products. Most of these companies use some form of lean manufacturing and pointing out things of this nature may help them prevent that problem in the future.
