Turbo Identification Help

I have a 2005 wrx, bought it used a few months ago and been working my way through it to figure it out. I've realized that the turbo seals need replacing but not sure how to identify this turbo. The previous owner said its a 20g turbo and was tuned for a 20g. There are no markings on it, has external wastegate, kicks in about 5k rpms... here are some pictures.

any ideas or suggestions? Was thinking of replacing the cartridge but don't want to buy the wrong part, would also just swap out the turbo but want to get something similar.

Only way to find out for certain is to take measurements of the impeller and exhaust wheels as well as the internal housing.

If you are just replacing the seals, what you need to know is if it's an MHI turbo and so long that it's a TD06 or TDH05 the CHRA is identical and the seals will be the same. If it's an IHI turbo, they weren't designed for rebuilds. There are some pirate kits available but nothing official.

Looks like an MHI to me.
So youre saying id have to take it off or at least take a peek in from either side.

Why do you think its an MHI?

Because IHI turbos (from what I can tell) always have an IHI stamping on the compressor housing and you said there were no markings.
