With the upgrades it would be ~$950 new for a blouch TD05H 16g - I don't know where the "Evo III" falls anymore as they have a different designation for their turbos now with the 16g-xt.

I'd spend the extra $250 for new

I'd spend the $G and get the xt and the oil line instead of the ported base one with the oil line for $950. Or skip the porting and be out $850 with the oil line.

Porting and polishing is a good thing generally - however when $50 more bucks gets you the xt I'd do that if you are going to spring far enough to cover the porting. E.g. porting is a great way to bump up the stock turbo if you can't afford a 16g or don't want to do FI etc. - it is still no comparison to the 16g. The compressor wheel on the xt is going to trump porting the standard 16g.

I'd go $600.

The 16G-XT comes standard with a ported turbine housing. It's not an option. It flows a little bit more than an Evo III 16G. I am quite happy with mine.
