Thermostat Housing 2003 WRX bolt size?

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2003 WRX 2.0 turbo. I went to perform a super flush on it today and whiled doing so decided to replace the thermostat. The guy who replaced the waterpump years ago didn't put one of the bolts back on the housing. I have no idea how it was functioning properly. I replaced the thermostat and bolted down the one bolt i had (10 mm head). I thought that would be good enough to get me to the store to get a new one...nope...that puppy is leaking everywhere. I was curious if anyone knew the exact size/length of the bolt? I couldn't find it anywhere on the web.

Thanks for the help!

Why don't you extract the bolt you have and take it to a hardware store to get one of similar size and length.
Standard head size on M6 (6mm) bolts is 10mm. So without seeing it and guessing 6mm t-stat flange thickness I'd get an M6x16 bolt. (that is a 6mm by 16mm long)
