Brand new 18' wrx owner here, slowly but surely reading up on modifications that I would like to make eventually, ya know, planning and such. One of these was the TGV/EGR deletes with a protune.
Some questions I still have, are the carbon buildup issues still present in the 18's as far as we can see? I know it's the same engine, just curious if any small changes were made that don't get marketed.
What's the best way to find out if doing these deletes will put you at odds with your states emissions testing? Also, the dealers warranty?
Is an AP required for these modifications? Is an AP required to get a protune?
Lastly, are there any other concerns with the longevity of other parts in the car since you are increasing air flow and output of power?
Feel free to correct any assumptions I've thrown in this. Reading is nice but experience is better
