Team ONeill

redobs,
where is the school? how much? the only school i know that i'd trust is the skip barber's driving school. i've never heard of this one, and links or other info? my only stipulation with these schools is that they not only offer lessons on basic driving, but also have specialists for different types of cars . (skip barbers is bmw, audi, etc.) anyone know of any specific scooby schoold?

platinum,
i definitely don't want to take my car racing off road. i'm WAY too anal about the paint job and physical appearance. i mean i wash the thing weekly, 8 waxes and 4 seasonal treatments a year. and umpteen interior detailings. where i probably won't be doing much more than an upipe, mbc, and filters for performance (near term) i am much more caught up with "ricing" my car ;) <jk> i value performance a ton (and when i need new struts at 20-25K, i'll probably just do coilovers anyway) but i love to turn heads when i'm not smoking a mustang too! :D

i must admit, that turbo deal looks EXTREMELY interesting, but i wouldn't feel comfortable without getting a chip upgrade (probably wouldn't do more than a piggy back anyway)

as for your co-pilot, i do need a helmet, but what are the details? when? where? i saw the link... so i should probably go back there and get all the info. what is the team name? i could design decals if you like, i've got a bit of an artistic touch.

peace

Team O'Neil is a rally school up in NH. Tim O'Neil is one of the best rally drivers. The New England Subaru Impreza Club organized a few winter driving schools this winter. Unfortunately, all classes are full. But, this might not be for you since you have to use your own car.

There are no Scooby specific schools. I ran with the Quattro Club last year, and will probably do so again this year. I definitely recommend them or any BMW club. They pretty much run events at just about every track in the Northeast. I went to Mont Tremblant with them up in Canada last year. Boy, was that fun!!! I plan on headed back up there this year.

DR,

I live in Brighton and work down by the Fleet Center. I;m not sure if I'm gonna be at the meet or not. I usually go snowboarding on the weekends. If I don't, I may make an appearance, seeing as how I'm not far at all.

I currently have a BPM up pipe installed (long story), but it has a leak right now. So, it's not running as good as it should. I'm having the Godspeed pipe installed on Wednesday. Can't wait!!! But, even with the car not running 100% par, it still pulls damn hard!! I'm only hitting like 12-13 psi with the Unichip. The up-pipe is definitely worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone with a WRX. The reason I have the BPM in, is because my stock one went. Yup, my stock cat in the up pipe came loose and was ready to go through the turbo! My dealer had a BPM sitting there, so they installed it so that at least my car was running. The BPM has the wrong bung welded in there, that is why I'm not keeping it. It has an 02 sensor bung instead. Damn Aussies!;)

I have the Turbo XS Unichip, and let me say it is worth the wait. Just make sure you get on the list, like NOW, if you want one! Their harness is awesome...literally plug in play!! BTW, we now have a 4 wheel dyno near us. I'll start a new thread for that.

dude, i am in waltham. i got a bunch of friends in allsont and brighton right b/w harvard ave and brighton ave. i drink in there a LOT. :D

we should meet up. i'd love to see your ride, maybe you could take me out and show me why i should spend the money i don't have.

im working in westborough which kind of sucks, but i don't ever have to deal with the traffic going the other way, so from waltham, it only takes about 35 minutes to get here.

get in touch man. we need to meet up. AND you are DEFINITELY going to the meet!!
